Enjoy the ultimate African experience

With a range of safari options available at our lodge

The star attraction of the region is undoubtedly the Addo National Park, with more annual visitors than East Africa's Serengeti National Park. From its convenient location on the border of the park, Camp Figtree operates daily guided tours, using open Land Rovers to provide guests with some of the finest elephant viewing in the world.

Transfers

As part of our activities we offer transfers from Port Elizabeth to the lodge as well as from the lodge to Scotia Safaris, Elephant Back Safaris and exclusive tours of the park. We have 2 vehicles available on site a Mercedes Benz Vito, 9 seater as well as a closed Landrover defender for smaller tours and transfers.

Addo Elephant National Park game drives

Camp Figtree conducts its own open Land Rover trips into the Addo Elephant National Park daily. Addo, which boasts the highest density of elephant of any national park in the world, will ensure that guests have a high number of sightings. The introduction of lion into the park has added a great deal of excitement and has elevated Addo National Park to Big 5 status. Our qualified field guide takes guests into the park departing at 9:00 or 14:00.
The trip generally takes 3 hours and is charged separately. Current cost is R490 per person. Guest are to pay the entrance fee into the park directly.
