General visitor’s information
Camp Figtree is a private lodge and tented safari camp set on top of the
stunning Zuurberg Mountain range, resting between the Addo Elephant
National Park and Riverbend.

Four large colonial suites and a 2 luxury tents complete with separate living

and dining area with decks and a rim flow pool offer guests the unique

opportunity to experience the gracious style of old world elegance, exclusivity

and privacy.

Location

Camp Figtree is situated 75 kilometres or an hour's drive from Port Elizabeth,

within South Africa's Eastern Cape Province Daily scheduled flights are

operated from Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban to Port Elizabeth. For

Climate

Summer - October to March

Predominantly dry season with hot days and warm nights. Temperatures

range from 25 to 40 degrees centigrade. Rainfall can be experienced during

this period with exceptional summer rainfall in the north.

Winter - April to August

This is the rainy season with generally cool days and cold nights.

Temperatures range from 5 to 25 degrees centigrade.

What to take

• Light clothing and swimming costumes in summer

Children

• Children under 12 years pay 50% of quoted adult tariff
• 2 bunkbeds are available in an adjoining room to accommodate children
